From humble beginnings, Santa Rita Landscaping has grown to become a leader in landscape construction with custom residential, homebuilder, and commercial clients throughout Southern Arizona. Brian and Garrett Ham

Brian and Garrett founded Santa Rita Landscaping, Inc. in an effort to expand their side jobs to formal careers. In 1985 when the company got its start, Brian was studying Watershed Hydrology at the University of Arizona while Garrett was finishing his senior year of high school. Garrett received the first contractor’s license for their newly formed firm, and the business took off from the Ham family barn. With steady growth early on, the boys hired an answering service and rented a construction yard in Green Valley.

Santa Rita Landscaping Growth

Through the late 1980s and 1990s, Santa Rita Landscaping continued to grow, while adding a commercial construction and commercial maintenance division to the business. As the company continued to shift toward landscape construction rather than maintenance, the residential landscape maintenance division was dropped from the company. Even through the recession in 2007, Santa Rita Landscaping remained strong and prevail as Southern Arizona’s Landscape Solution.

After merging with Richard Spross, owner of Southwest Enviroscapes, Inc. in 2012, Brian, Garrett, and Richard now boast 75 years of combined landscaping experience, which follows the vision of the Santa Rita Way. The company continues to win installation awards and thrive primarily through client referrals based on the excellence of our work.
